Terms of Service

Who this applies to

• Viewers see the extension on a channel and can follow the channels it lists.
• Broadcasters install the extension and choose which channels it shows.

The Service runs on Twitch, so the Twitch Terms of Service, the Twitch Developer Services Agreement and Twitch's other policies apply too. If they conflict with these terms, Twitch's win.

License

FURiOUS grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension on Twitch for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the Service as your own, or use it to harm others. The extension's source is human-readable as Twitch requires, but that doesn't grant any right to reuse the name, logo or code beyond what is stated here.

Broadcasters

• You choose which channels to feature and you're responsible for that list and for any title or subtitle you set. Don't feature channels or write text that is illegal, hateful, deceptive, or that breaks Twitch's rules.
• Feature channels only for real recommendations. Don't take payment in a way Twitch's rules forbid, and follow the Twitch rules on sponsored content.
• Your chatbot command link works like a password for your channel's list. Keep it private and rotate it from the settings page if it leaks. You're responsible for what is done with it.
• The Bits spotlight uses Twitch's Bits system. Bits are handled and refunded by Twitch under its own terms, and FURiOUS isn't the seller.
• Don't abuse the API or chatbot commands, try to get around rate limits, or send automated traffic meant to overload the Service.

Viewers

• Following a channel through the extension is your own choice. Follows are made on Twitch with your account and you can undo them there.
• Featured channels are picked by the broadcaster, not by FURiOUS. We don't review, endorse or control them or their content.
• Don't try to fake follow alerts or spotlights, or interfere with how they work.

Pro

Pro features (such as the video overlay boxes, custom themes and fonts, and the boxes API) are unlocked for channels that subscribe to FURiOUS on Twitch. The subscription is bought and managed on Twitch, under Twitch's terms and refund rules. Pro is checked automatically and ends when the subscription does. Pro features may change over time.

Availability and changes

The Service is a hobby project. It may change, be interrupted or be shut down at any time, with or without notice, for example if Twitch changes its platform or the extension is removed. I may also remove access for anyone who breaks these terms.

No warranty and limited liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent the law allows, FURiOUS isn't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, lost revenue, lost followers or lost data arising from your use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
